About ChargingRewards
This program is not accepting any new applications at this time.
The ChargingRewards Beta Testing Program allows EV drivers early access to EnergyHub’s new app, to help us test and improve the app before we make it generally available. You’ll be one of the first customers to test new app functionality- and we’ll work to make your charging experience as smooth as possible!
You’ll earn a $150 Prepaid Mastercard for signing up, $10/month Prepaid Mastercard for every month you remain in the program, and other surprise rewards throughout the program!
Why participate in this beta program?
Join a community of forward-thinking EV drivers who understand how important it is for EV’s to charge when renewable energy is cheap and plentiful, and earn rewards while participating! Help us shape the future of managed charging to prepare for increased energy demand as EV adoption grows across the country.
How will I receive my program incentive?
For signing up for this program, you have earned $150 and should receive your reward within 4 weeks. You will continue to earn $10 per month for your participation. Prepaid Mastercards with your accrued rewards will be emailed to you after the close of each quarter - approximately April 15th, July 15th, October 15th and January 15th. All rewards will be sent from chargingrewards-beta@energyhub.net. Please add this email address to your address book so that your incentive does not end up in your spam folder.
Why is managed charging important for the grid?
Managed charging programs aim to use less energy during periods of peak demand, when others are using more.
For EV chargers, this involves making slight adjustments to your charging schedule to decrease the charger’s energy use. You will still be able to charge your electric vehicle, but you’ll help lower your carbon emissions, keep the energy grid stable, and avoid the need for utilities to build additional new power plants!
Your vehicle may charge more slowly, but you’ll stay in control and can adjust your charger back to its normal settings if you need to charge more quickly.
What will I need to do?
To get started:
Review the checklist above to make sure you qualify, and if so, select ‘Confirm & Continue.’
Select ‘Enroll’ and fill out the form with your information to enroll and authorize your vehicle for the program.
After we review your application (please allow up to 2 weeks) we’ll get back to you with instructions on how to install the ChargingRewards app!
Plug in and charge your vehicle as you normally would.
On an ongoing basis:
Continue using our app as needed to manage your EV charging
Report any bugs you encounter to us
Fill out occasional surveys, no more than once per week
We’ll be in touch with more information on how to do all these things once you are signed up.
Will EnergyHub control my EV charging?
EnergyHub’s ChargingRewards app is designed to always make sure you get the charge you need at the time you need it - you can just plug in and not have to think about it.
We’ll also schedule your charging to help manage load on the electric grid. This app will replace any charging schedule you have set on your vehicle.
If your plans change, you can override ChargingRewards and charge right away at any time.
