The EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient and affordable. As our customers transition to electric vehicles, EVsmart will work to provide the necessary energy and charging solutions to meet the diverse charging needs and manage the overall impact to the electrical system. The program is available to residential customers who receive their electric supply through Basic Generation Service (BGS).
*Net off-peak charging is your off-peak kWh EV charging minus your on-peak kWh EV charging. On-peak hours for EV charging are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday. All other times are considered off-peak hours. Customers can earn $0.02 per kWh plus any associated sales and use tax (SUT) for any net off-peak charging.
